Today officially marked the start of our honeymoon adventure and what a way to kick it off!
We laced up our boots, strapped spikes to the bottom of our shoes, grabbed our ice picks, and set off to hike two miles up a glacier. It was absolutely breathtaking (literally!).
At the end of the climb, we were rewarded with one of the most stunning ice caves we’ve ever seen. Surrounded by glowing blue walls of ice, we stood in complete awe. Despite the cold, the experience was magical and unforgettable.
After warming up, we said our final goodbyes to the family who had joined us for our ceremony. It was bittersweet to part ways, but also exciting to begin this next chapter together.
From there, we hit the road toward our next campsite though we didn’t get in quite as early as planned. The scenery was just too beautiful to pass by without stopping. Every turn offered another incredible view, and we couldn’t help but pull over, take it all in, and snap a few photos.
Late arrival or not, we’re settling in under the northern lights, already feeling so grateful for the start of this wild and wonderful journey together.
More to come soon!
