As soon as we touched down in Iceland, we wasted no time heading to our first stop… Blue Lagoon! It was the perfect welcome to the land of fire and ice, and just what we needed to shake off our travel fatigue.

Today, we were up and out early, hiking miles through the steaming Reykjadalur Valley to reach one of Iceland’s hidden gems: a geothermal river! After the long hike, soaking in the warm water surrounded by natural Icelandic beauty felt like something out of a dream.
(Side note: our proposal happened on this exact hike two years ago!)

As if today wasn’t magical enough, during a stroll through Reykjavík after dinner, the northern lights made an appearance! We’re in awe of how incredible this place truly is and this is just the beginning.
